The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8th minute Jan-Niclas Ebus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristian Albom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Torekov getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Birger Söderqvist hit a great ball. Torekov's defense didn't have a chance, in the 10th minute, when Uwe Kuinke scored to the left of an out of position Kristian Albom, making the score, 2-0. Julius-Lasse Eichenauer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Kristian Albom made a huge save. In the 26th match minute, Torekov was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Birger Söderqvist to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Poli Timisoara's Julius-Lasse Eichenauer tried to score from far away in the 26th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 36th minute, Uwe Kuinke made a precise shot to the right of Kristian Albom. Torekov's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julius-Lasse Eichenauer got free with Kristian Albom in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 46 minutes into the match, Uwe Kuinke dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Kristian Albom, 6-0.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Julius-Lasse Eichenauer in the 52nd minute of play forced Torekov's goalkeeper Kristian Albom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 53 minutes into the match, Uwe Kuinke had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kristian Albom. Torekov's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Uwe Kuinke was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. 58 minutes into the game, Julius-Lasse Eichenauer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Kristian Albom was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Birger Söderqvist hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Kristian Albom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Uwe Kuinke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Torekov's zone, Robert Balla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kristian Albom came out of the goal and Robert Balla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With an all-out effort, Torekov's Robin Wörns threw himself towards the right post 70 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ulf Ersman, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Julius-Lasse Eichenauer in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kristian Albom prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Poli Timisoara booed when Torekov was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Birger Söderqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julius-Lasse Eichenauer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Kristian Albom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Uwe Kuinke recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Julius-Lasse Eichenauer, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 80 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Kristian Albom was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Kristian Albom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Uwe Kuinke in the 84th minute of play. Kristian Albom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julius-Lasse Eichenauer, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Julien-Nils Ruge struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Kristian Albom didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Poli Timisoara. Robert Balla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
