Cornel Stoicea started the match with the kick off. After 2 played minutes Viola Invest got a freekick which was hit by Nae Bărboianu. Iwan Bartochowski hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Florin Răducioiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Gilbert Treppa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 9 minutes into the game, Viola Invest's Cornel Stoicea nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gilbert Treppa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Gilbert Treppa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cornel Stoicea in the 19th minute of the match. 21 minutes into the match, KS Zgredy's goal looked a bit too open when Nae Bărboianu came free, but Gilbert Treppa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rd minute Viola Invest were awarded a corner. Florin Răducioiu went to the cornerflag to take it. Florin Răducioiu made a great header on Viola Invest's corner, it was just that KS Zgredy's Gilbert Treppa managed to reach the ball for a save. When Edmund Pietrowski fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KS Zgredy's protests and gave Edmund Pietrowski a yellow card for diving instead. Edmund Pietrowski hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. 25 minutes into the match, KS Zgredy's goal looked a bit too open when Nae Bărboianu came free, but Gilbert Treppa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, Cornel Stoicea notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of KS Zgredy's Gilbert Treppa. Gilbert Treppa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to KS Zgredy getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. In the last second Flavius Izbașa throw himself and got hold of the ball when Roch Sroka in the 38thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Viola Invest's George Teodoreanu got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 48th match minute, Viola Invest was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nae Bărboianu to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Roch Sroka to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Viola Invest's goal looked a bit too open when Roch Sroka came free, but Flavius Izbașa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Viola Invest's Iustinian Brezeanu got a free kick in the 55th minute. Nae Bărboianu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Gilbert Treppa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 59 minutes into the game, Viola Invest's Nae Bărboianu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gilbert Treppa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. If Roch Sroka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Cornel Stoicea took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Gilbert Treppa to make any attempt to save it. Thanks to some nice moves Nae Bărboianu could shoot a difficult shot in the 90th minute, which Gilbert Treppa however easily saved by the left post. The Viola Invest supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Viola Invest would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
