Tigers of Bistritsa's Evstati Dokev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaarle Väätäinen in the 6th minute of play. Jan Kuokkanen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tauno Kivimäki could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Evstati Dokev made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Kaarle Väätäinen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Evstati Dokev was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. In the 21st minute Asparuh Bubov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niilo Vähäsavo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Petar Kralchev's late challenge caught a Savon Palloseura's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Petar Kralchev helped the player get up and apologised. After 25 played minutes Tigers of Bistritsa got a freekick which was hit by Petar Kralchev. An unexpectedly hard shot by Petar Kralchev in the 27th minute of play forced Savon Palloseura's goalkeeper Niilo Vähäsavo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Kaarle Väätäinen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 36th minute, Radoslav Dzhangozov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Heikki Niinimaa got free with Evstati Dokev in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 40th minute Kaarle Väätäinen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evstati Dokev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Tigers of Bistritsa's goalkeeper Evstati Dokev, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Evstati Dokev made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Tauno Kivimäki sent off a good shot on target. In the 46th match minute, Tigers of Bistritsa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Radoslav Dzhangozov to maneuver through the defense. Mika Viitanen was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 47th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Asparuh Bubov to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Nikolay Hambarski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Evstati Dokev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tauno Kivimäki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 58th minute Jan Kuokkanen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evstati Dokev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Radoslav Dzhangozov charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Radoslav Dzhangozov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 61 played minutes Tigers of Bistritsa got a freekick which was hit by Radoslav Dzhangozov. Juha-Pekka Joenväärä sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Tigers of Bistritsa getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Radoslav Dzhangozov hit a great ball. Evstati Dokev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tauno Kivimäki in the 65th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kaarle Väätäinen in the 71st minute of play forced Tigers of Bistritsa's goalkeeper Evstati Dokev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 72 played minutes Tigers of Bistritsa got a freekick which was hit by Asparuh Bubov. Juha-Pekka Joenväärä sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Tigers of Bistritsa's Tzocho Terziyanov got a free kick in the 82nd minute. In the 83rd minute of the match Mika Viitanen sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Evstati Dokev skillfully saved the ball. In the 85th minute Jan Kuokkanen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evstati Dokev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 92 minutes, Tauno Kivimäki mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Savon Palloseura and the Tigers of Bistritsa players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 92nd minute, Tauno Kivimäki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Niilo Vähäsavo was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Nikolay Hambarski. Tigers of Bistritsa succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Savon Palloseura had controlled the match.
