Spectators: 7530 (Terracing: 5649, Seating: 1731, VIP seats: 150) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Alberto Pineda got the match started through his kick off. Folke Österlund made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Fidel Uranga sent off a good shot on target. In the 9th minute Alberto Pineda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Folke Österlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Libardo Fuentes in the 11th minute of play forced Catugi FC's goalkeeper Folke Österlund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Camilo Galeas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nando de Alcântara's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Club Deportivo Águila's Camilo Galeas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonel Varela in the 25th minute of play. A collision led to Club Deportivo Águila getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Alberto Pineda hit a great ball. In the 30thth minute of the game Leonel Varela who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Deportivo Águila's Camilo Galeas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Aílton Domingues hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Fidel Uranga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Camilo Galeas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonel Varela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Pineda in the 43rd minute of play forced Catugi FC's goalkeeper Folke Österlund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Nando de Alcântara made the kick off in the second half. Catugi FC's Folke Österlund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Peña in the 51st minute of play. Camilo Galeas came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Catugi FC's Nando de Alcântara. But to his dismay, Nando de Alcântara quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Nando de Alcântara took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Camilo Galeas. Camilo Galeas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Orlando Flores hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. 61 minutes into the match, Alberto Pineda had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Folke Österlund. Catugi FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alberto Pineda was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. After having played for 68 minutes, Nando de Alcântara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Catugi FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nando de Alcântara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Club Deportivo Águila booed when Catugi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henrique Félix didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 72 minutes, Henrique Félix mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Catugi FC and the Club Deportivo Águila players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Catugi FC's Henrique Félix got a free kick in the 72nd minute. A collision led to Catugi FC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Luiz Fernando Rezende hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Catugi FC's Leonel Varela got a free kick in the 81st minute. In the 83rd minute, Nando de Alcântara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 84 minutes into the game, Hernani Travassos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Catugi FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Deportivo Águila the free kick. When Fidel Uranga fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Deportivo Águila's protests and gave Fidel Uranga a yellow card for diving instead. In the 89th minute, Fidel Uranga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 91 minutes of play, Catugi FC's Nando de Alcântara made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Camilo Galeas was left in no man's land by his defense there! Folke Österlund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Pineda in the 94th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Catugi FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
