Spectators: 7490 (Terracing: 5618, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 149) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Nando de Alcântara got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Catugi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ildefonso Ortle came free, but Folke Österlund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nando de Alcântara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Gaviotas FC defense, Claudinei Carioca kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gavino Luke. The Gaviotas FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gavino Luke should have stopped the shot. In the 13th match minute, Catugi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiaguinho Fernandez to maneuver through the defense. If Nando de Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gavino Luke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nando de Alcântara in the 19th minute of the match. After 20 minutes, Ildefonso Ortle mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gaviotas FC and the Catugi FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 20th minute, Ildefonso Ortle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Catugi FC booed when Gaviotas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esteve Naelio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hernani Travassos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gavino Luke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nando de Alcântara in the 34th minute of the match. Casimiro Lopez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gavino Luke came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Catugi FC's Hernani Travassos. But to his dismay, Hernani Travassos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Gaviotas FC's zone, Nando de Alcântara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gavino Luke came out of the goal and Nando de Alcântara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Baldomiro Oliverios to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Catugi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Casimiro Lopez came free, but Folke Österlund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 54 minutes into the match, Catugi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ildefonso Ortle came free, but Folke Österlund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gavino Luke, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Leonel Varela received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gavino Luke came out and tried to block the shot, but Leonel Varela slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 78th minute. 84 minutes into the game, Casimiro Lopez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gaviotas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Catugi FC the free kick. A collision led to Gaviotas FC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Casimiro Lopez hit a great ball. Gavino Luke came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Catugi FC's Nando de Alcântara. But to his dismay, Nando de Alcântara quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. Folke Österlund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Casimiro Lopez in the 88th minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Nando de Alcântara notched a goal, 0-7, to the right of Gaviotas FC's Gavino Luke. Gavino Luke was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Catugi FC booed when Gaviotas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Casimiro Lopez didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Catugi FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
