The supporters of Stat Veritas FC booed when Catugi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henrique Félix didn't get a good kick on the ball. Atilano Txema fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Folke Österlund having to interfere. Luiz Fernando Rezende hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Fabian Semeno hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the game's 21st minute Catugi FC's Nando de Alcântara took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Damian Maura and thus the score was 0-1. The Stat Veritas FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Damian Maura should have stopped the shot. After the first half Catugi FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After having played for 55 minutes, Sebastian Boni managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stat Veritas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastian Boni was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leonel Varela could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Damian Maura made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Leonel Varela kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Damian Maura. That made the score 0-4 in the 58 minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabian Semeno during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 68th match minute, Stat Veritas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabian Semeno to maneuver through the defense. When Hernani Travassos came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Catugi FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hernani Travassos couldn't finish the play. Folke Österlund came out of the goal and Sebastian Boni tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Stat Veritas FC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Humberto Maore hit a great ball. Catugi FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
