Etxahun Curiel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hélio Terra in the 4th minute of the match. In the 7th minute Patrick Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Etxahun Curiel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oriche Cadrecha during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Oriche Cadrecha kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Airborne FC's Carlos Alberto Arruda couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 9th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Diablos Rojos. If Patrick Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16th minute, Sefa Özdemir hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18th minute Patrick Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Etxahun Curiel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Airborne FC's goalkeeper Diamantino de Queiroz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lionel-Andrés Messias. Kléberson Meireles hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Diamantino de Queiroz was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Nisio Bildosteguy. 22 minutes into the match, Airborne FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sefa Özdemir came free, but Diamantino de Queiroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Hélio Terra came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Airborne FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hélio Terra couldn't finish the play. After 29 minutes of play, Airborne FC's Hélio Terra made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Etxahun Curiel was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 31st minute, Ricardinho Neves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Diamantino de Queiroz made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Sefa Özdemir sent off a good shot on target. Wanderson Silveira struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Etxahun Curiel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Airborne FC. Patrick Ramos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edelmiro Villalcazar made a kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Diablos Rojos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xaime Guillarte to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hélio Terra got free with Etxahun Curiel in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nisio Bildosteguy hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Wanderson Silveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 61st minute, Wanderson Silveira fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Etxahun Curiel, passed just outside the right post. With a little luck, Diablos Rojos's Etxahun Curiel got control of the ball when Patrick Ramos tried to sneak it across the goal line. 64 minutes into the game, Lionel-Andrés Messias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Diablos Rojos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Airborne FC the free kick. After 64 played minutes Diablos Rojos got a freekick which was hit by Lionel-Andrés Messias. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hélio Terra got free with Etxahun Curiel in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Wanderson Silveira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Airborne FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Wanderson Silveira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Etxahun Curiel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Carlos Alberto Arruda fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Airborne FC's protests and gave Carlos Alberto Arruda a yellow card for diving instead. Carlos Alberto Arruda kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Diamantino de Queiroz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lionel-Andrés Messias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hélio Terra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Etxahun Curiel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 83 minutes into the match, Diablos Rojos's goalkeeper Etxahun Curiel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hélio Terra. Wanderson Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Etxahun Curiel having to interfere. Patrick Ramos was extremely unlucky when he, in the 94th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Airborne FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
