Cosimo Gaeta started the match with the kick off. Emanuele Donadoni was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Costel Diaconu. Eusebiu Godeanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuele Donadoni having to interfere. In the 16th minute Cosimo Gaeta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dino Zoff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Cosimo Gaeta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dino Zoff was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Costel Diaconu kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Bisturi F.C.'s Comunardo Del Monte seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Comunardo Del Monte the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Bisturi F.C. protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Comunardo Del Monte had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The supporters of Cormoranii -MM- booed when Bisturi F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Comunardo Del Monte didn't get a good kick on the ball. 38 minutes into the match, Bisturi F.C.'s Ercole Cesare sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dino Zoff narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vintilă Hălmăgeanu in the 39th minute of play forced Bisturi F.C.'s goalkeeper Emanuele Donadoni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ercole Cesare kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 60th match minute, Bisturi F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ercole Cesare to maneuver through the defense. After 61 played minutes, Cormoranii -MM-'s Alin Gherdan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Emanuele Donadoni came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cormoranii -MM- reached it. After having played for 63 minutes, Ercole Cesare managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bisturi F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Ercole Cesare was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 64th minute, Ercole Cesare hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bisturi F.C. made a substitution. Angelo Miranda replaced Ettore Saraceni. After 69 minutes of play, Cormoranii -MM-'s Vintilă Hălmăgeanu made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emanuele Donadoni was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 71st minute, Valentin Agrigoroaiei hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eusebiu Godeanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuele Donadoni having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ercole Cesare in the 76th minute of play forced Cormoranii -MM-'s goalkeeper Dino Zoff to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 80 minutes, Amos Fata mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bisturi F.C. and the Cormoranii -MM- players grew even worse after the yellow card. Amos Fata kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Emanuele Donadoni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vintilă Hălmăgeanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 86 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Vintilă Hălmăgeanu sped through Bisturi F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Emanuele Donadoni. Ercole Cesare who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 92ndth minute tested the skills of Dino Zoff when he managed to save the team from getting behind.
