Spectators: 7458 (Terracing: 5594, Seating: 1715, VIP seats: 149) Grêmio FBPA's Celso Mendes started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Grêmio FBPA's Osvaldo Santana got a free kick in the 7th minute. When Kong Jun Ying came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Nusaybin GençLikSpor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kong Jun Ying couldn't finish the play. Osvaldo Santana charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Osvaldo Santana the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 12th match minute, Grêmio FBPA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osvaldo Santana to maneuver through the defense. 14 minutes into the match, Grêmio FBPA's goal looked a bit too open when Gökalp Rakim came free, but Rui Varela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Celso Mendes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 17thth minute tested the skills of Levent Orkan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 25 minutes into the match, Nusaybin GençLikSpor's goalkeeper Levent Orkan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Celso Mendes. Kong Jun Ying might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rui Varela. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kong Jun Ying ran back to his position shaking his head. Grêmio FBPA's Rui Varela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gökalp Rakim in the 32nd minute of play. Bilal Kabadayı's late challenge caught a Grêmio FBPA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bilal Kabadayı helped the player get up and apologised. Bilal Kabadayı hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Kong Jun Ying made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Grêmio FBPA's goal looked a bit too open when Kong Jun Ying came free, but Rui Varela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Celso Mendes came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Grêmio FBPA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celso Mendes couldn't finish the play. In the 63rd minute, Mevlüt Rahim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Through an outstanding action, after 67 minutes, Rui Varela successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 68th minute, Kong Jun Ying made a precise shot to the right of Rui Varela. Grêmio FBPA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Kong Jun Ying recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Enrique Pires hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Osvaldo Santana kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kong Jun Ying in the 78th minute of play forced Grêmio FBPA's goalkeeper Rui Varela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rui Varela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kong Jun Ying in the 80th minute of play. In the 82nd minute of the match, Kong Jun Ying tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rui Varela saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 84 played minutes Nusaybin GençLikSpor got a freekick which was hit by Gökalp Rakim. In the 94th minute, Celso Mendes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Levent Orkan was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The Nusaybin GençLikSpor players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Grêmio FBPA from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
