After a rather tough play, Charlotte FC's Dalton Ash got a free kick in the 34th minute. 39 minutes into the match, Carlos José Vega had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jessie Amos. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wade Stacy to make the kick off.
