In the 8thth minute of the game Raphael Borges who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Deportivo Rodriguez's Waldo Hills was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Deportivo Rodriguez's Waldo Hills played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raphael Borges in the 10th minute of play. 14 minutes into the game, Limoeiro-PE FC's Cordeara Igay nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Waldo Hills made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. A collision led to Limoeiro-PE FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Célio Mineiro hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Javier Rodriguez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Rodriguez's supporters rose to their feet, but Javier Rodriguez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mons Dragon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Javier Rodriguez hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. The supporters of Limoeiro-PE FC booed when Deportivo Rodriguez was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Plummer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mons Dragon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcelo Marcello went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Tyrell Cochran hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Calvin Rodriguez during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Limoeiro-PE FC booed when Deportivo Rodriguez was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Calvin Rodriguez didn't get a good kick on the ball. 45 minutes into the game, Cacá Arósio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Waldo Hills was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Pedro in the 52nd minute of play forced Limoeiro-PE FC's goalkeeper Mons Dragon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mons Dragon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Pedro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 53rd minute, Cordeara Igay ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Waldo Hills was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. 56 minutes into the match, Deportivo Rodriguez's goalkeeper Waldo Hills had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cacá Arósio. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelo Marcello in the 57th minute of play forced Limoeiro-PE FC's goalkeeper Mons Dragon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mons Dragon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jason Douglas, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Mons Dragon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Javier Rodriguez in the 67th minute of the match. In the 71st minute Javier Rodriguez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mons Dragon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Limoeiro-PE FC's Mons Dragon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Marcello in the 72nd minute of play. After 73 minutes of play, Deportivo Rodriguez's Marcelo Marcello made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mons Dragon was left in no man's land by his defense there! Limoeiro-PE FC made a substitution. Chiquinho Curado replaced Walmir Gaspar. Eliseo Cavazos's late challenge caught a Limoeiro-PE FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eliseo Cavazos helped the player get up and apologised. Eliseo Cavazos kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. After 80 played minutes, Limoeiro-PE FC's Cheito Molek shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Waldo Hills came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Limoeiro-PE FC reached it. 81 minutes into the match, Cordeara Igay had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Waldo Hills. Deportivo Rodriguez's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cordeara Igay was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-4. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Jason Douglas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Rodriguez's supporters rose to their feet, but Jason Douglas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mons Dragon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pedro Pedro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Limoeiro-PE FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
