With an all-out effort, Wallace FC's Cláudio Taffarel threw himself towards the right post 14 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Carolo Chano, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 14th minute, Vitório Paranaense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raimundo Reis in the 17th minute of play forced Wallace FC's goalkeeper Bruno Elia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bruno Elia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geovânio Quirino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bruno Elia made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Geovânio Quirino sent off a good shot on target. 79 minutes into the game, Wallace FC's Damian Dominix nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cláudio Taffarel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Noroeste Paulista's Franklin Vander was substituted for Geovânio Quirino. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carolo Chano in the 86th minute of play forced Noroeste Paulista's goalkeeper Cláudio Taffarel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wallace FC were awarded a corner in the 87th minute after Noroeste Paulista's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Leonel Aurken took the corner.
