Xurupita FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Aztore was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After 12 minutes, Severino Montel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wallace FC and the Xurupita FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Severino Montel kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Wallace FC's Ernesto Lorien got a free kick in the 17th minute. With a little luck, Wallace FC's Bruno Elia got control of the ball when Frédson Donato tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Xurupita FC defense, Ceferino Palos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arlindo Meireles. The Xurupita FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arlindo Meireles should have stopped the shot. Xurupita FC's Arlindo Meireles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesto Lorien in the 25th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laércio Alvarenga in the 27th minute of play forced Wallace FC's goalkeeper Bruno Elia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31stth minute of the game Robustiano Gipuzkoa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Xurupita FC's Arlindo Meireles was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Damian Dominix might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arlindo Meireles. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Damian Dominix ran back to his position shaking his head. Robustiano Gipuzkoa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arlindo Meireles having to interfere. In the 37th minute Ceferino Palos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arlindo Meireles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th match minute, Wallace FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benicio Turi to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Wallace FC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Ernesto Lorien hit a great ball. Severino Montel kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. In the 44th minute Frédson Donato shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Elia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Wallace FC's Cristian Aztore got a free kick in the 48th minute. In the 49th minute, Laércio Alvarenga reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bruno Elia. The goal made the score 2-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 2-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frédson Donato made a kick off. Xurupita FC's Arlindo Meireles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robustiano Gipuzkoa in the 55th minute of play. The supporters of Wallace FC booed when Xurupita FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodoro Valle didn't get a good kick on the ball. Xurupita FC's Arlindo Meireles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robustiano Gipuzkoa in the 57th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Wallace FC's Ceferino Palos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Arlindo Meireles. That made the score 2-5 after 91 minutes of play. After 96 minutes, Teodoro Valle mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Xurupita FC and the Wallace FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Wallace FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
