After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Leonard Calleja managed to get in a good position for a shot. Meerkats FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Leonard Calleja was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maciej Motyl breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 13th minute, Stephen Bonnici hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Walery Wejta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jean Paul Taliana having to make a save. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Meerkats FC's goalkeeper Jean Paul Taliana, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 16thth minute of the game Szymon Ochabski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Meerkats FC's Jean Paul Taliana was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 17 minutes of play, KKS Legia Deptaka's Milosz Polkoski made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jean Paul Taliana was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Szymon Ochabski came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the KKS Legia Deptaka fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Szymon Ochabski couldn't finish the play. In the 23rd minute, Carl Chircop hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kacper Walec hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Fryderyk Pilarski took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jean Paul Taliana. Jean Paul Taliana dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Fryderyk Pilarski got in the 40th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Jean Paul Taliana handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. In the 40th match minute, Meerkats FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christopher Camilleri to maneuver through the defense. 43 minutes into the game, KKS Legia Deptaka's Szymon Ochabski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jean Paul Taliana made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. 46 minutes into the match, Meerkats FC's goal looked a bit too open when Milosz Polkoski came free, but Jean Paul Taliana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.
The wind increased when Kevin Musu made the kick off in the second half. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 50th minute, but Jean Paul Taliana got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Meerkats FC hanging dry this time. After a defensive mix-up in Meerkats FC's zone, Walery Wejta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jean Paul Taliana came out of the goal and Walery Wejta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jean Paul Taliana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Milosz Polkoski in the 56th minute of play. In the 57th minute Szymon Ochabski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean Paul Taliana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maciej Motyl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonard Calleja in the 60th minute of play. Milosz Polkoski hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Carl Chircop hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Maciej Motyl didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leonard Calleja went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. 74 minutes into the match, Szymon Ochabski notched a goal, 2-5, to the right of Meerkats FC's Jean Paul Taliana. Jean Paul Taliana was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, Meerkats FC's Jean Paul Taliana got control of the ball when Szymon Ochabski tried to sneak it across the goal line. Szymon Ochabski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Jean Paul Taliana made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Milosz Polkoski in the 84th minute of play forced Meerkats FC's goalkeeper Jean Paul Taliana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fryderyk Pilarski's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jean Paul Taliana firmly grabbed it by the left post. The Meerkats FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. KKS Legia Deptaka were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
