Spectators: 7469 (Terracing: 5603, Seating: 1717, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dragoş Oloieru started the match with the kick off. After 3 minutes of play, Timo!'s Rene Ilixo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Victor Ciociu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rene Ilixo took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Victor Ciociu. Victor Ciociu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Dionisio Bastia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Timo!'s supporters rose to their feet, but Dionisio Bastia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Victor Ciociu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Júlían Kmet's late challenge caught a Progresul Pitesti's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Júlían Kmet helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Timo! getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Júlían Kmet hit a great ball. Luis Selatse made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Costică Lupeanu sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Timo!'s Artemio Raphael got a free kick in the 16th minute. Lucian Panțuru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luis Selatse having to interfere. Victor Ciociu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dionisio Bastia in the 22nd minute of play. 23 minutes had been played when some careless play by Progresul Pitesti's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rene Ilixo was slow to take the kick. During this time Timo!'s players had a chance to rest. Progresul Pitesti were awarded a corner in the 28th minute after Timo!'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Aristide Cordescu took the corner. When Dragoş Oloieru fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Progresul Pitesti's protests and gave Dragoş Oloieru a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Progresul Pitesti getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Dragoş Oloieru hit a great ball. 31 minutes into the match, Rene Ilixo notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Progresul Pitesti's Victor Ciociu. Victor Ciociu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Victor Ciociu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rene Ilixo, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. After 37 played minutes Timo! got a freekick which was hit by Artemio Raphael. 41 minutes into the game, Ilie Bran was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Progresul Pitesti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Timo! the free kick. A collision led to Progresul Pitesti getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Ilie Bran hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Rene Ilixo made the kick off in the second half. Inti Mo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Ciociu having to interfere. Rene Ilixo struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Victor Ciociu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Timo!. Dionisio Bastia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Victor Ciociu made a huge save. Mircea Măgură hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Dionisio Bastias short, quick shot in the 61stth minute got Victor Ciociu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 62nd match minute, Timo! was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dionisio Bastia to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th minute, Rene Ilixo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 67 minutes of play Progresul Pitesti's Dragoş Oloieru was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Dragoş Oloieru hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. After 72 minutes, Urbano Chorche mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Timo! and the Progresul Pitesti players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Timo!'s Urbano Chorche got a free kick in the 73rd minute. 75 minutes into the match, Progresul Pitesti's goal looked a bit too open when Rene Ilixo came free, but Victor Ciociu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 75 played minutes Timo! got a freekick which was hit by Dionisio Bastia. Lucian Panțuru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Luis Selatse tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Progresul Pitesti's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Dionisio Bastia fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Hipolito Indartsu hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. In the 86th minute of the match Aristide Cordescu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luis Selatse skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Timo!'s Júlían Kmet got a free kick in the 87th minute.
