Spectators: 7624 (Terracing: 5719, Seating: 1753, VIP seats: 152) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Pierre Maston kicked off to start the match. Mustafa Namık Raşit hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mustafa Namık Raşit during the 8th minute. Jim Sutton came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by ᗩᔕᒪᗩᑎғᴋ's Luís Cubilla. But to his dismay, Luís Cubilla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Jim Sutton made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Luís Cubilla sent off a good shot on target. Jim Sutton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zühtü Vakkasoğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Haldun Gürdal hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. In the 31st minute of the match, Zühtü Vakkasoğlu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jim Sutton saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 36 played minutes ᗩᔕᒪᗩᑎғᴋ got a freekick which was hit by Haldun Gürdal. In the 41st minute Mustafa Namık Raşit shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jim Sutton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Zühtü Vakkasoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Don Baird kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. In the 45th minute of the match Ali Demirci shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jim Sutton showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Luís Cubilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Jim Sutton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bektaş Çol in the 52nd minute of the match. After 54 played minutes Manchester City got a freekick which was hit by Frank Johnstone. 60 minutes into the match, Manchester City's goal looked a bit too open when Bektaş Çol came free, but Jim Sutton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jim Sutton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bektaş Çol in the 61st minute of the match. In the 65th minute, Zühtü Vakkasoğlu made a precise shot to the right of Jim Sutton. Manchester City's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Bilge Evcimen's late challenge caught a Manchester City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bilge Evcimen helped the player get up and apologised. After 68 played minutes ᗩᔕᒪᗩᑎғᴋ got a freekick which was hit by Bilge Evcimen. 70 minutes into the match, Zühtü Vakkasoğlu notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Manchester City's Jim Sutton. Jim Sutton was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Zühtü Vakkasoğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jim Sutton having to interfere. Manchester City's Jim Sutton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zühtü Vakkasoğlu in the 79th minute of play. After 81 minutes Manchester City's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ali Demirci who took care of the corner kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Haldun Gürdal during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
