The audience was convinced that Haldun Gürdal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Froilan Guibar was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Şafak Yücelay's late challenge caught a ¢σи єℓ вσℓѕσ иσ ¢σмρєтιѕ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Şafak Yücelay helped the player get up and apologised. After 22 played minutes ᗩᔕᒪᗩᑎғᴋ got a freekick which was hit by Şafak Yücelay. ᗩᔕᒪᗩᑎғᴋ's Güntekin Adılhan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sidro Taladriz in the 24th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Urki Lacle during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, ¢σи єℓ вσℓѕσ иσ ¢σмρєтιѕ's Urki Lacle got a free kick in the 25th minute. ᗩᔕᒪᗩᑎғᴋ's Zühtü Vakkasoğlu got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in ¢σи єℓ вσℓѕσ иσ ¢σмρєтιѕ's zone, Zühtü Vakkasoğlu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Froilan Guibar came out of the goal and Zühtü Vakkasoğlu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Froilan Guibar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haldun Gürdal in the 31st minute of play. ᗩᔕᒪᗩᑎғᴋ were awarded a corner in the 32th minute after ¢σи єℓ вσℓѕσ иσ ¢σмρєтιѕ's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ali Demirci took the corner. Zühtü Vakkasoğlu was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Froilan Guibar came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by ᗩᔕᒪᗩᑎғᴋ's Haldun Gürdal. But to his dismay, Haldun Gürdal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. 38 minutes into the match, ¢σи єℓ вσℓѕσ иσ ¢σмρєтιѕ's goal looked a bit too open when Haldun Gürdal came free, but Froilan Guibar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40th minute, Mustafa Namık Raşit ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Froilan Guibar was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Sidro Taladriz hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Haldun Gürdal made a kick off. After 55 minutes ¢σи єℓ вσℓѕσ иσ ¢σмρєтιѕ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ali Demirci who took care of the corner kick. Haldun Gürdal was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 57 minutes into the match, Zühtü Vakkasoğlu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Froilan Guibar, 0-5. Through an outstanding action, after 67 minutes, Froilan Guibar successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 71st match minute, ᗩᔕᒪᗩᑎғᴋ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mustafa Namık Raşit to maneuver through the defense. If Mustafa Namık Raşit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Haldun Gürdal took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Froilan Guibar to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of ¢σи єℓ вσℓѕσ иσ ¢σмρєтιѕ booed when ᗩᔕᒪᗩᑎғᴋ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mustafa Namık Raşit didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mustafa Namık Raşit received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Froilan Guibar came out and tried to block the shot, but Mustafa Namık Raşit slotted it home off the left post making it 0-7 in the 87th minute. Haldun Gürdal who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 93rdth minute tested the skills of Froilan Guibar when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Zühtü Vakkasoğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Froilan Guibar having to interfere.
