The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Munhoz in the 3rd minute of play forced LOS MENTI's goalkeeper Teodosio Isauro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Santo Anaya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evaristo Arósio having to interfere. After 7 played minutes MARINUS MZC got a freekick which was hit by Pedrinho Zonta. 10 minutes in the game, Omar Cuartio fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Evaristo Arósio having to interfere. After 20 played minutes, LOS MENTI's Conrado Fernendo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Evaristo Arósio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in LOS MENTI reached it. Santo Anaya's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Evaristo Arósio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. In the 25th minute, LOS MENTI's Omar Cuartio dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Thiago Ortiz kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Evaristo Arósio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Omar Cuartio in the 35th minute of the match. LOS MENTI's Teodosio Isauro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jefferson Albuquerque in the 41st minute of play. Teodosio Isauro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jefferson Albuquerque in the 42nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, LOS MENTI's Natalio Guillelmus got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Teodosio Isauro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Munhoz went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The wind increased when Omar Cuartio made the kick off in the second half. Daniel Munhoz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to LOS MENTI getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Everardo Tavio hit a great ball. The supporters of LOS MENTI booed when MARINUS MZC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdo Guimarães didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jefferson Albuquerque blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Teodosio Isauro having to make a save. 68 minutes into the match, LOS MENTI's Omar Cuartio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Evaristo Arósio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Joaquin Miliano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 75 minutes into the match, MARINUS MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Omar Cuartio came free, but Evaristo Arósio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 76 minutes, Alex Vianna mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MARINUS MZC and the LOS MENTI players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 76th match minute, MARINUS MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Vianna to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 77 minutes, Omar Cuartio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LOS MENTI's supporters crossed their fingers, but Omar Cuartio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of LOS MENTI booed when MARINUS MZC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedrinho Zonta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thiago Ortiz made a great header on MARINUS MZC's corner, it was just that LOS MENTI's Teodosio Isauro managed to reach the ball for a save. 84 minutes into the game, Daniel Munhoz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Teodosio Isauro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Jefferson Albuquerque came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the MARINUS MZC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jefferson Albuquerque couldn't finish the play. Alex Vianna got his second yellow card in the match during the 98th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of LOS MENTI booed when MARINUS MZC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 99 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Vianna didn't get a good kick on the ball. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
