Rafinha Furtado made in the 4th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by istanbulls's Nafiz Özaydın. Hatemi Cire showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafinha Furtado, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Giovani Lago charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Giovani Lago the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Edvaldo Brasil made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ahmet Baki Uzsoy in the 11th minute. If Ahmet Göktuğ Arıtan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hatemi Cire made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bebeto Amaral in the 14th minute of play. Hatemi Cire took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilberto Medeiros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th match minute, istanbulls was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Battal Cüneyt Zahir to maneuver through the defense. In the 20th minute Bebeto Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hatemi Cire saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Fatih Maradona fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored istanbulls's protests and gave Fatih Maradona a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to istanbulls getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Fatih Maradona hit a great ball. Ahmet Baki Uzsoy took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edvaldo Brasil. Edvaldo Brasil dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Ahmet Göktuğ Arıtan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edvaldo Brasil having to interfere. Edvaldo Brasil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Haydar Özdinç, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Haydar Özdinç received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Edvaldo Brasil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gilberto Medeiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hatemi Cire having to interfere. Gilberto Medeiros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ahmet Baki Uzsoy in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edvaldo Brasil saved λᴠαηᴛє ғᴄ.ᴿˢ•ᴮR from getting behind. Edvaldo Brasil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haydar Özdinç, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ahmet Baki Uzsoy might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edvaldo Brasil. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ahmet Baki Uzsoy ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, λᴠαηᴛє ғᴄ.ᴿˢ•ᴮR's Frederico Vasconcelos got a free kick in the 86th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Fatih Maradona managed to get in a good position for a shot. istanbulls's supporters rose to their feet, but Fatih Maradona was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edvaldo Brasil breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, istanbulls's Battal Cüneyt Zahir got a free kick in the 90th minute. 94 minutes into the match, Ahmet Baki Uzsoy had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edvaldo Brasil. λᴠαηᴛє ғᴄ.ᴿˢ•ᴮR's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ahmet Baki Uzsoy was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. The supporters of λᴠαηᴛє ғᴄ.ᴿˢ•ᴮR booed when istanbulls was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nafiz Özaydın didn't get a good kick on the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the λᴠαηᴛє ғᴄ.ᴿˢ•ᴮR players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for istanbulls.
