Deivid Vaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dariusz Ziombkowski having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Deivid Vaz in the 7th minute of play forced AKS Chorzów's goalkeeper Dariusz Ziombkowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Joinvilense in the 12th minute of play forced AKS Chorzów's goalkeeper Dariusz Ziombkowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 0-1 became the score in the 16th minute when Zé Joinvilense elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. AKS Chorzów's Dariusz Ziombkowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavinho Fantini in the 19th minute of play. After having played for 22 minutes, Fausto Aguiar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Joinville Esporte Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fausto Aguiar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Dorian do Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dariusz Ziombkowski came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Joinville Esporte Clube's Deivid Vaz. But to his dismay, Deivid Vaz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Dariusz Ziombkowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Deivid Vaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dariusz Ziombkowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Deivid Vaz in the 34th minute of the match. 38 minutes into the match, Deivid Vaz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dariusz Ziombkowski. AKS Chorzów's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Deivid Vaz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. The supporters of AKS Chorzów booed when Joinville Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benê de Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Zachary Bentkowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute, Milosz Huk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. AKS Chorzów's attentive Hieronim Brataniec managed to snatch the ball when Dorian do Nascimento made a throw-in in the 47th minute of the game. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

After 53 played minutes AKS Chorzów got a freekick which was hit by Milosz Huk. Emil Wielkopolski made in the 55th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Stanislaw Miazga however managed to control. An unexpectedly hard shot by Deivid Vaz in the 57th minute of play forced AKS Chorzów's goalkeeper Dariusz Ziombkowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dariusz Ziombkowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Deivid Vaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zé Joinvilense took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dariusz Ziombkowski. Dariusz Ziombkowski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. AKS Chorzów's Dariusz Ziombkowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Joinvilense in the 70th minute of play. Zé Joinvilense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Joinville Esporte Clube's Zé Joinvilense got a free kick in the 74th minute. With an all-out effort, Joinville Esporte Clube's Dariusz Ziombkowski threw himself towards the right post 76 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gonçalo Catarinense, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A hard shot 83 in the game by Fausto Aguiar from a close distance when the talented Dariusz Ziombkowski managed to make a qualified save. AKS Chorzów's players were relieved. 85 minutes into the match, Zé Joinvilense had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dariusz Ziombkowski. AKS Chorzów's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zé Joinvilense was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. After 88 minutes, Zachary Bentkowski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AKS Chorzów and the Joinville Esporte Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 89th match minute, AKS Chorzów was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zachary Bentkowski to maneuver through the defense. In the 92nd minute Deivid Vaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dariusz Ziombkowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dariusz Ziombkowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Deivid Vaz in the 94th minute of play. When the match was over Joinville Esporte Clube could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than AKS Chorzów throughout the match.
