Milosz Gacki kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. After having played for 23 minutes, Michal Gondela managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kwaski Sandomierz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Michal Gondela was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Borys Chrobak was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 25 minutes into the match. Michal Gondela took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dariusz Ziombkowski. AKS Chorzów's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Hieronim Brataniec's late challenge caught a Kwaski Sandomierz's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Teobald Jerzyk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maksymilian Piekarczyk in the 59th minute of play. In the 63rd minute Cyryl Sidorowicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dariusz Ziombkowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
