Joinville Esporte Clube's Eriberto Leão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Atilano Serafo in the 28th minute of play. In the 33rd minute Genaro Jordy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eriberto Leão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dorian do Nascimento hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Marcos Sustrai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Joinvilense in the 37th minute of play. The corner ended in Freddy Bonadona almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Joinville Esporte Clube's Eriberto Leão did a great save. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. In the 67th minute, Fausto Aguiar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zé Joinvilense in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcos Sustrai prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 72 minutes into the match, LOS PECES DEL INFIERNO Ψ's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Joinvilense came free, but Marcos Sustrai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hélio Furtado during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 72nd match minute, Joinville Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hélio Furtado to maneuver through the defense. Filiberto Raphael kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Marcos Sustrai was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Joinville Esporte Clube had won after a very even match.
