The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 played minutes FC Viplala got a freekick which was hit by Eero Kants. Jüri Alango didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Claudinho Fantini went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eero Kants in the 14th minute of play forced Villa Verde FC's goalkeeper Jacinto Figueiredo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jacinto Figueiredo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robert Mäidu in the 16th minute of the match. 23 minutes into the match, Villa Verde FC's goal looked a bit too open when Robert Mäidu came free, but Jacinto Figueiredo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The crowd rose to their feet as Eero Kants kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jacinto Figueiredo. That made the score 1-1 in the 56 minute of play. In the 59th minute Afonso Baiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jüri Alango saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
