Geoffroy Pernin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Conny Aleberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. If Conny Aleberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valentin Bellard in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ted Forsberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Viggo Carlssons short, quick shot in the 18thth minute got Geoffroy Pernin to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Conny Aleberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A throw-in in the 32nd minute of the game was made by Alix Delange with Cheikh Toullec as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Valette Stars's Cheikh Toullec got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 47th minute Valentin Bellard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ted Forsberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Julien Le Pen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Valette Stars's supporters rose to their feet, but Julien Le Pen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ted Forsberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Julien Le Pen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Ted Forsberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valentin Bellard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With an all-out effort, Valette Stars's Ted Forsberg threw himself towards the right post 62 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Valentin Bellard, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Julien Le Pen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ted Forsberg having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Valette Stars's Émilien Gentilhomme got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 66th minute Viggo Carlsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geoffroy Pernin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to The Reds getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Håkan Hellström hit a great ball. In the 69th match minute, Valette Stars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentin Bellard to maneuver through the defense. Valentin Bellard kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. After 72 minutes of play, The Reds's Oskar Kihlberg made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Geoffroy Pernin was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Valette Stars defense, Viggo Carlsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Geoffroy Pernin. The Valette Stars fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Geoffroy Pernin should have stopped the shot. 82 minutes into the game, Viggo Carlsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Geoffroy Pernin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 89th minute Håkan Hellström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geoffroy Pernin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 90th minute Oskar Kihlberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geoffroy Pernin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. The Reds had won after a very even match.
