Urrutia Iruretagoyena took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Patrik Eliasson. Patrik Eliasson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Ian Hellkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. John Beckström took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zoil Frenes. Zoil Frenes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After 36 played minutes Koffe Boys got a freekick which was hit by Leif Grelsson. John Beckström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Zoil Frenes made a huge save. In the 43rd minute, Ian Hellkvist left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Koffe Boys fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Erwin Salcines made a kick off. Zoil Frenes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John Beckström in the 54th minute of the match. 57 minutes into the game, John Beckström cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Zoil Frenes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Leif Grelsson fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Koffe Boys's protests and gave Leif Grelsson a yellow card for diving instead. Leif Grelsson hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Luís Eduardo Vale charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luís Eduardo Vale the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Andy Lundberg kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Patrik Eliasson made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Erwin Salcines sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Koffe Boys defense, Erwin Salcines kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Patrik Eliasson. The Koffe Boys fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Patrik Eliasson should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Koffe Boys booed when Real Guayaquil.F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gonzalo Matamoro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Real Guayaquil.F.C.'s Zoil Frenes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ian Hellkvist in the 89th minute of play. In the 90th match minute, Real Guayaquil.F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xaven Monzonis to maneuver through the defense.
