With a little luck, NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Amancio Magdaleno got control of the ball when Alfredo Koldo tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Cadáveres Voladores getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Nereo Gaizko hit a great ball. Baltasar Rios hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arsenio Domiku couldn't finish the play. Amancio Magdaleno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arsenio Domiku, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Albano Asteri during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Amancio Magdaleno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Narciso Pacho in the 21st minute of play. When Narciso Pacho came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Cadáveres Voladores fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Narciso Pacho couldn't finish the play. After 27th play minutes Erasmo Millrick shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Rolando Rexino and just under the crossbar into goal. Jairo Formerio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 32 played minutes NEWELL´S OLD BOYS got a freekick which was hit by Apolo Richie. 36 minutes into the game, Antonio Mundo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Rolando Rexino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Albano Asteri got a free kick in the 39th minute. After 44 minutes of play, Cadáveres Voladores's Arsenio Domiku made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Amancio Magdaleno was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Antonio Mundo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Rolando Rexino made a huge save. Antonio Mundo let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 58th minute shot 1-3 at rihgt post. After a defensive mix-up in Cadáveres Voladores's zone, Apolo Richie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rolando Rexino came out of the goal and Apolo Richie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 67th minute of the match, Erasmo Millrick got a very nice opportunity to score, but Rolando Rexino was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Erasmo Millrick received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rolando Rexino came out and tried to block the shot, but Erasmo Millrick slotted it home off the left post making it 1-5 in the 70th minute. Rolando Rexino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Apolo Richie in the 73rd minute of the match. After 80 minutes of play, Cadáveres Voladores's Arsenio Domiku made it 2-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Amancio Magdaleno was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Narciso Pacho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cadáveres Voladores's supporters rose to their feet, but Narciso Pacho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amancio Magdaleno breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 86 minutes into the match, Alfredo Koldo notched a goal, 3-5, to the right of NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Amancio Magdaleno. Amancio Magdaleno was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 90th minute Jairo Formerio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Rexino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amancio Magdaleno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Efrain Itzaina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Cadáveres Voladores supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's performance. The match ended with a win for NEWELL´S OLD BOYS.
