But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfredo Koldo couldn't finish the play. Narciso Pacho kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. In the 18th minute, Inter MIAMI's Artemio Rik ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rolando Rexino. Rolando Rexino yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. In the 22nd match minute, Inter MIAMI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rogelio Jerano to maneuver through the defense. Mariano Cortez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arsenio Domiku in the 28th minute of the match. Mariano Cortez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arsenio Domiku, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Cadáveres Voladores booed when Inter MIAMI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nereo Artal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rolando Rexino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nereo Artal in the 40th minute. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Artemio Rik took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Rolando Rexino to make any attempt to save it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Isaias Urdin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Inter MIAMI defense, Arsenio Domiku kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mariano Cortez. The Inter MIAMI fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mariano Cortez should have stopped the shot. After 72 played minutes Cadáveres Voladores got a freekick which was hit by Narciso Pacho. In the 76th minute, Nereo Gaizko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cadáveres Voladores's Rolando Rexino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldo Platon in the 82nd minute of play. When Cadáveres Voladores's Alfredo Koldo in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
