When Gigi Drăgan came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Purcaresti CSS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gigi Drăgan couldn't finish the play. Malte Olofsson hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Sebastian Blomkvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paul Drăgan in the 32nd minute. The supporters of Purcaresti CSS booed when MaLe FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Malte Olofsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ferdinand Horhoianu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan-Olof Duset, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. MaLe FC's Markus Wenerdahl got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Peter Hultin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jan-Olof Duset sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jan-Olof Duset was the one to do the kick off. Purcaresti CSS's Ferdinand Horhoianu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan-Olof Duset in the 53rd minute of play. Ferdinand Horhoianu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan-Olof Duset, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sebastian Blomkvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Octav Tomoioagă, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. If Octav Tomoioagă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paul Drăgan in the 63rd minute of play forced MaLe FC's goalkeeper Sebastian Blomkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jan-Olof Duset blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ferdinand Horhoianu having to make a save. Ferdinand Horhoianu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Hultin in the 67th minute of the match. In the 69th minute Jan-Olof Duset shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferdinand Horhoianu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jan-Olof Duset did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-1 to the left of a surprised Ferdinand Horhoianu 71 minutes into the match. Jan-Olof Duset sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paul Drăgan kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. In the 81st match minute, Purcaresti CSS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aron Teodorescu to maneuver through the defense. Eusebiu Stancu kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. 90 minutes into the match, Purcaresti CSS's goal looked a bit too open when Jan-Olof Duset came free, but Ferdinand Horhoianu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Svante Kinell kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. The MaLe FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing MaLe FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
