In the 7th match minute, ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronaldinho Mangueira to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™ booed when Zamalek FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paul De La Cruz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Ademar Peixoto managed to get in a good position for a shot. ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™'s supporters rose to their feet, but Ademar Peixoto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Merlin Dolan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 15 minutes into the game, Thiago da Silva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zamalek FC the free kick. In the 16th minute, Thiago da Silva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Merlin Dolan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ademar Peixoto in the 18th minute of play. Thiago da Silva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 32nd minute, Otto Ciauri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Merlin Dolan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thiago da Silva in the 33rd minute of play. Ronaldinho Mangueira in the 36thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Merlin Dolan, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A collision led to Zamalek FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Will Holt hit a great ball. Merlin Dolan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Thiago da Silva went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Ronaldinho Mangueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Merlin Dolan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Zamalek FC's zone, Ronaldinho Mangueira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Merlin Dolan came out of the goal and Ronaldinho Mangueira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 49th minute of the match ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™ got a corner. Zamalek FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ademar Peixoto ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™'s corner Cícero Andrade fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Merlin Dolan quite easily take care of the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Malcolm Neal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldinho Mangueira in the 53rd minute of play forced Zamalek FC's goalkeeper Merlin Dolan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Will Holt charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Will Holt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 53 played minutes Zamalek FC got a freekick which was hit by Will Holt. After 54 minutes of play, ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™'s Ronaldinho Mangueira made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Merlin Dolan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Merlin Dolan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Thiago da Silva went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Malcolm Neal's late challenge caught a ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Malcolm Neal helped the player get up and apologised. In the 66th match minute, Zamalek FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Malcolm Neal to maneuver through the defense. Thiago da Silva took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Merlin Dolan. Merlin Dolan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. When Ronaldinho Mangueira came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronaldinho Mangueira couldn't finish the play. In the 84th minute Ademar Peixoto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Merlin Dolan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Merlin Dolan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldinho Mangueira in the 85th minute of play. The ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™ fans' excitement grew in the 86th match minute when ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™'s Ronaldinho Mangueira looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Merlin Dolan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldinho Mangueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Ademar Peixoto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Merlin Dolan having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldinho Mangueira in the 95th minute of play forced Zamalek FC's goalkeeper Merlin Dolan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™ had played much better football throughout.
