Markus Albäck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Odilon Rozano, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. 12 minutes into the match, Nye's goal looked a bit too open when Estavan Bichesne came free, but Markus Albäck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, Gutierre Chamorro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Markus Albäck. Nye's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gutierre Chamorro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. When the match clock showed 25 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Odilon Rozano sped through Nye's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Markus Albäck. Odilon Rozano took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Markus Albäck. Markus Albäck dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Markus Albäck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Odilon Rozano, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-9 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Philip Hedvall to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Nye's Sivert Josefsson got a free kick in the 53rd minute. When Cebo Segura came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Real Unión CF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cebo Segura couldn't finish the play. 58 minutes into the game, Real Unión CF's Gutierre Chamorro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Markus Albäck made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-10. The crowd rose to their feet as Real Unión CF's Estavan Bichesne slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Markus Albäck. That made the score 0-14 after 92 minutes of play.
