The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 53 minutes into the game, one of Matungo Gaúcho:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. A collision led to Kwyjibo getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Martin Subijana hit a great ball. Andrézinho Oliveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 71st match minute, Kwyjibo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beremundo Armea to maneuver through the defense. Andrézinho Oliveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 84th minute Betão de Almeida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basilio Urquioja saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Matungo Gaúcho lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
