Spectators: 7583 (Terracing: 5688, Seating: 1744, VIP seats: 151) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Pedro Augusto de Barros kicked off to start the match. Pedro Augusto de Barros succeeded in the game's 5th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Portuguesa's zone, Faustino Hegoi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Régis Castro came out of the goal and Faustino Hegoi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 20th minute, Portuguesa's Sidnei Faria ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Guido Sanson. Guido Sanson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. In a very dangerous position, a player in Portuguesa fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 28th minute. Penalty! Pedro Augusto de Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sidnei Faria recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Sidnei Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sidnei Faria struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Guido Sanson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Portuguesa. With a little luck, Imрêriо Aztêćâ's Guido Sanson got control of the ball when Sidnei Faria tried to sneak it across the goal line.

After 55 played minutes Imрêriо Aztêćâ got a freekick which was hit by Ladislao Roldan. 58 minutes into the match, Imрêriо Aztêćâ's goal looked a bit too open when Sidnei Faria came free, but Guido Sanson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Teodosio Argenis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Régis Castro having to make a save. Guido Sanson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rômulo Fernandes in the 66th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Pedro Augusto de Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Portuguesa's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Augusto de Barros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guido Sanson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Sidnei Faria put it in 4-1 from a short distance just to the right of Guido Sanson. In the 75th minute, Israel Herensuge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Augusto de Barros took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Guido Sanson. Guido Sanson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. 85 minutes into the game, Portuguesa's Sidnei Faria nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Guido Sanson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-1. 91 minutes into the match, Sidnei Faria had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Guido Sanson. Imрêriо Aztêćâ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sidnei Faria was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-1. 95 minutes into the match, Pedro Augusto de Barros notched a goal, 9-1, to the right of Imрêriо Aztêćâ's Guido Sanson. Guido Sanson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Portuguesa fully deserved thier win.
