The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gaston Pinto showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Serafin Lalla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henric Nordal, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. A collision led to CAI NEUQUEN getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Jimeno Iban hit a great ball. Serafin Lalla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henric Nordal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vejbystrand's Egon Tönnberg quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Honorato Eutropio, made in the 29th minute of the game. 33 minutes had been played when some careless play by CAI NEUQUEN's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tommy Norberg was slow to take the kick. During this time Vejbystrand's players had a chance to rest. The crowd rose to their feet as CAI NEUQUEN's Damian Barea slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jarl Kalfhage. That made the score 3-0 after 36 minutes of play. Birger Hammarbäck took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Serafin Lalla. Serafin Lalla dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Serafin Lalla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henric Nordal in the 46th minute of the match. After 47 minutes, Arnoldo Totakoxe mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CAI NEUQUEN and the Vejbystrand players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to CAI NEUQUEN getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Arnoldo Totakoxe hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edelmiro Chago to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Gaston Pinto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarl Kalfhage saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 55 minutes into the game, Vejbystrand's Henric Nordal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Serafin Lalla made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. Honorato Eutropio hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. 64 minutes into the match, Damian Barea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jarl Kalfhage. Vejbystrand's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Damian Barea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. A collision led to Vejbystrand getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Henric Nordal hit a great ball. In the 69th minute, Edelmiro Chago ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jarl Kalfhage was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-2. After a rather tough play, CAI NEUQUEN's Bernardo Cristofor got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Jimeno Iban kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. CAI NEUQUEN's Serafin Lalla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henric Nordal in the 83rd minute of play. After having played for 92 minutes, Arnoldo Totakoxe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CAI NEUQUEN's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arnoldo Totakoxe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Algot Forsberg kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. In the 95th minute, Arnoldo Totakoxe ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jarl Kalfhage was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-2. Vejbystrand's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
