The audience was convinced that Osmar Luz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Acácio Nascimento was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. During the 36th minute of the match Erick Soberano completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Erick Soberano a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. 43 minutes into the game, Adilson Monteiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. S O B E R A N O CIMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave G.E. Juventus FSCMZ the free kick. A collision led to S O B E R A N O CIMZ getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Adilson Monteiro hit a great ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Osmar Luz made the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Reynaldo do Nascimento put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Dagoberto Nogueira. Reynaldo do Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dagoberto Nogueira having to interfere. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, G.E. Juventus FSCMZ's Délio Vargas got a free kick in the 63rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Osmar Luz in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Acácio Nascimento saved G.E. Juventus FSCMZ from getting behind. 65 minutes into the match, S O B E R A N O CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Gino da Rocha came free, but Dagoberto Nogueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sebastião Faria hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. After 71 played minutes S O B E R A N O CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Cássio Baptista. 73 minutes into the match, Benedito Bastos notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of S O B E R A N O CIMZ's Dagoberto Nogueira. Dagoberto Nogueira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Osmar Luz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Acácio Nascimento made a huge save. When Osmar Luz fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. After some careless play in the S O B E R A N O CIMZ defense, Gino da Rocha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dagoberto Nogueira. The S O B E R A N O CIMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dagoberto Nogueira should have stopped the shot. In the 87th minute of the match Adilson Monteiro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Acácio Nascimento showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Wágner Ramalho kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. In the 94th match minute, G.E. Juventus FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastião Faria to maneuver through the defense. Acácio Nascimento made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Osmar Luz sent off a good shot on target. For all the effort they put into the match, the S O B E R A N O CIMZ players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for G.E. Juventus FSCMZ.
