The referee felt a red card was in order, 3 minutes into the game, when Edson Azevedo put in a rough tackle. A collision led to BURITIS FC getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Edson Azevedo hit a great ball. With a little luck, TibaDons's Ollie Clark got control of the ball when Rubens Reis tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Ernani Paraense came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the BURITIS FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ernani Paraense couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rubens Reis got free with Ollie Clark in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Joel Pombal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ollie Clark made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rubens Reis in the 16th minute of play. Rubens Reis who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Ollie Clark when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 25 played minutes TibaDons got a freekick which was hit by Eric Butt. BURITIS FC's Agostinho Carneiro shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 27th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Ollie Clark but with some difficulty. Stan Hewitt got a throw-in 29 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Stu Blewett. Wilton Santos struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Ollie Clark didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BURITIS FC.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Grant Cornish in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gustavo Unai saved BURITIS FC from getting behind. BURITIS FC's Gustavo Unai proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save BURITIS FC from getting a goal against them. In the 65th match minute, BURITIS FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victor Godoi to maneuver through the defense. BURITIS FC were awarded a corner in the 68th minute after TibaDons's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ernani Paraense took the corner. Rick Postolan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74th minute, Jerônimo Linhares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, BURITIS FC's Joel Pombal got a free kick in the 79th minute. In the 85th minute, Wilton Santos made a precise shot to the right of Ollie Clark. TibaDons's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 95th minute Joel Pombal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ollie Clark saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
