The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Christiano Trevisan came out of the goal and Ivan Tavio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Florida Gulf Coast's Conrado Iliana got a free kick in the 8th minute. Lucio Geofredo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonel Donatello, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Christiano Trevisan didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Florida Gulf Coast's Ivan Tavio shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Lucio Geofredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonel Donatello in the 14th minute of play. 15 minutes into the game, Florida Gulf Coast's Ivan Tavio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Christiano Trevisan was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Tavio in the 31st minute of play forced Morro Grande E.C's goalkeeper Christiano Trevisan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucio Geofredo made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Wilian de Almeida sent off a good shot on target. After 37 minutes of play, Florida Gulf Coast's Ciro Corderun made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Christiano Trevisan was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Ciro Corderun came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Florida Gulf Coast fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ciro Corderun couldn't finish the play. 43 minutes into the match, Leonel Donatello dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Lucio Geofredo, 1-4. Ivan Tavio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Florida Gulf Coast were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leonel Donatello was the one to do the kick off. Ciro Corderun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Christiano Trevisan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Florida Gulf Coast getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Gabriel Sanchez hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Florida Gulf Coast's Benigno Gartzen got a free kick in the 67th minute. Morro Grande E.C's Elói Penha got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Christiano Trevisan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivan Tavio, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. José Pedro Abraão kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Ivan Tavio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 80 minutes into the match, Leonel Donatello notched a goal, 2-5, to the right of Florida Gulf Coast's Lucio Geofredo. Lucio Geofredo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Florida Gulf Coast's Ciro Corderun got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Florida Gulf Coast getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Mateo Gentza hit a great ball. After 88 played minutes Florida Gulf Coast got a freekick which was hit by Conrado Iliana.
