The referee gave The Wild Bunch a penalty, 3 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Bernt Abelsson, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Morro Grande E.C's Christiano Trevisan. 1-0. 6 minutes into the match, The Wild Bunch's goal looked a bit too open when Leonel Donatello came free, but Egil Örnberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Markus Zachrisson kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. After 9 minutes of play, Morro Grande E.C's Leonel Donatello made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Egil Örnberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bertil Sandells short, quick shot in the 16thth minute got Christiano Trevisan to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonel Donatello in the 18th minute of play forced The Wild Bunch's goalkeeper Egil Örnberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Morro Grande E.C's Christiano Trevisan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Morro Grande E.C from getting a goal against them. Jorginho Mazza scored 1-2 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Egil Örnberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. José Pedro Abraão hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Morro Grande E.C's zone, Markus Zachrisson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christiano Trevisan came out of the goal and Markus Zachrisson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bertil Sandell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bertil Sandell got free with Christiano Trevisan in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kent Malmberg's late challenge caught a Morro Grande E.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kent Malmberg helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to The Wild Bunch getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Kent Malmberg hit a great ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leonel Donatello made a kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Wilian de Almeida cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Egil Örnberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Christiano Trevisan came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by The Wild Bunch's Bertil Sandell. But to his dismay, Bertil Sandell quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. Ingvar Tholsson hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Jorginho Mazza kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Egil Örnberg was a little too slow when Jorginho Mazza got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 68th minute. The score was now 3-4. Wilian de Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egil Örnberg having to interfere. In the 74th match minute, The Wild Bunch was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernt Abelsson to maneuver through the defense. Egil Örnberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorginho Mazza, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. After 79 minutes, Leonel Donatello mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Morro Grande E.C and the The Wild Bunch players grew even worse after the yellow card. Leonel Donatello got his second yellow card in the match during the 81st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Bertil Sandell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorginho Mazza in the 84th minute of play forced The Wild Bunch's goalkeeper Egil Örnberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 89 minutes into the match, The Wild Bunch's goalkeeper Egil Örnberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jorge Sá. The supporters of Morro Grande E.C booed when The Wild Bunch was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ingvar Tholsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elói Penha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Morro Grande E.C eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
