Wilian de Almeida could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Egil Örnberg made a huge save. In the 28thth minute of the game Leonel Donatello who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but The Wild Bunch's Egil Örnberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 30 minutes of play, Morro Grande E.C's Wilian de Almeida made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Egil Örnberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! 33 minutes into the game, Morro Grande E.C's Wilian de Almeida nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Egil Örnberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Morro Grande E.C's Leonel Donatello slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Egil Örnberg. That made the score 5-0 after 40 minutes of play. Morro Grande E.C's Christiano Trevisan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bertil Sandell in the 45th minute of play. Ronaldinho Meira kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. In the 47th minute of the match, Wilian de Almeida got a very nice opportunity to score, but Egil Örnberg was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bertil Sandell stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 61st minute, Leonel Donatello left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Morro Grande E.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. Egil Örnberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonel Donatello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Wilian de Almeida was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 75 minutes had been played. Leonel Donatello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
