The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ennio Pizzi in the 2nd minute of play forced Jar.C Lipno's goalkeeper Tolek Mleczewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dobromir Pilitowski kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. In the 11th minute, Francesco Tabacco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aurelio Epifani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dobromir Pilitowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13th minute, Fabiano Tatangelo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jar.C Lipno's Tolek Mleczewski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Comunardo Rullo in the 15th minute of play. 17 minutes into the game, Beppe Rivera cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Tolek Mleczewski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 20th match minute, Gladiator FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arrigo Addari to maneuver through the defense. Jar.C Lipno's Hugon Biraga couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 20th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Gladiator FC. The referee felt a red card was in order, 29 minutes into the game, when Antonello Cipriani put in a rough tackle. After 28 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Gladiator FC! In the 31st minute there was a penalty for Jar.C Lipno. Hugon Biraga stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Aurelio Epifani. 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franco Mariano in the 34th minute of play forced Jar.C Lipno's goalkeeper Tolek Mleczewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Franco Mariano's late challenge caught a Jar.C Lipno's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Franco Mariano helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Jar.C Lipno booed when Gladiator FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franco Mariano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aurelio Epifani made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pankracy Nakoneczny in the 38th minute. In the 39th minute Franco Mariano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tolek Mleczewski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aurelio Epifani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arkadiusz Filipkowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Comunardo Rullo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 46 played minutes Gladiator FC got a freekick which was hit by Arrigo Addari. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Franco Mariano made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the game, Arkadiusz Filipkowski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jar.C Lipno's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gladiator FC the free kick. A collision led to Jar.C Lipno getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Arkadiusz Filipkowski hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Jar.C Lipno's Boruc Pleban got a free kick in the 58th minute. Ennio Pizzi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Tolek Mleczewski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Jar.C Lipno getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Arkadiusz Filipkowski hit a great ball. In the 65th minute, Franco Mariano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 68 played minutes Jar.C Lipno got a freekick which was hit by Antoni Kornaszewski. When Fabiano Tatangelo came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Gladiator FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabiano Tatangelo couldn't finish the play. Antoni Kornaszewski hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. 83 minutes into the match, Jar.C Lipno's goal looked a bit too open when Ennio Pizzi came free, but Tolek Mleczewski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ennio Pizzi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Tolek Mleczewski made a huge save. After having played for 88 minutes, Franco Mariano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gladiator FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Franco Mariano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tolek Mleczewski made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Franco Mariano sent off a good shot on target. When the final whistle sounded Gladiator FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Jar.C Lipno.
