In the 2nd minute of the game, Tiago Gabriel de Moraes landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Denis Ispovednikov charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Denis Ispovednikov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Denis Ispovednikov kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Váldson Leite in the 8th minute of play forced Galatasaray SK's goalkeeper Stanislav Kaiturov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mikhail Guschin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Alves having to interfere. Anton Nesterov made in the 15th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Danila Melnikov. Adilson Perez kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Douglas Trigo in the 21st minute of play forced Galatasaray SK's goalkeeper Stanislav Kaiturov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Douglas Trigo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danila Melnikov in the 28th minute of play forced Mayhem Sharks's goalkeeper Marcelo Alves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 39 minutes into the match, Mikhail Guschin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcelo Alves. Mayhem Sharks's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mikhail Guschin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Marcelo Alves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anton Nesterov in the 55th minute of the match. In the 57th minute Mikhail Guschin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Alves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcelo Alves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Denis Ispovednikov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 67 minutes of play, Galatasaray SK's Pavel Fomichev made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcelo Alves was left in no man's land by his defense there! Douglas Trigo kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. In the 73rd minute, Denis Ispovednikov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcelo Alves was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Marcelo Alves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denis Ispovednikov, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Riccardo Zonta kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Mikhail Guschin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcelo Alves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. Galatasaray SK's Mikhail Guschin got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 84th match minute, Mayhem Sharks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Douglas Trigo to maneuver through the defense. Marcelo Alves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danila Melnikov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Danila Melnikov took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcelo Alves. Marcelo Alves dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. There was no doubt that Galatasaray SK were the better team. Galatasaray SK's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
