The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lino Lluis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tim Zondervan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iker Rolado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alfredo Frederik's late challenge caught a De Ontembare Leeuwen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alfredo Frederik helped the player get up and apologised. In the 11th minute, Alfredo Frederik hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tim Zondervan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teofilo Dolfo in the 15th minute of play. 15 minutes into the game, Võ Tấn Dũng was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mitchell Terpstra to strike the kick off in the second half. Hans Kuypers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Iker Rolado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Tim Zondervan made a huge save. After having played for 58 minutes, Hans Kuypers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. De Ontembare Leeuwen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hans Kuypers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mitchell Terpstra hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Stef Mol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Narciso Montel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
