But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diguinho Mendonça couldn't finish the play. In the 13th minute, Diguinho Mendonça hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristóvão Paranaense in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Faustino Vermudo saved United.SF from getting behind. After 17 played minutes United.SF got a freekick which was hit by Elpidio Jurdan. German Regis hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. United.SF's Faustino Vermudo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duda de Sousa in the 33rd minute of play. Efrain Lordi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Dráusio Oliveira made a huge save. After the first half Izaltina FAD were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Aquilino Gipuzkoa charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Cristóvão Paranaense's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Faustino Vermudo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Efrain Lordi in the 65th minute of play forced Izaltina FAD's goalkeeper Dráusio Oliveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dráusio Oliveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Efrain Lordi in the 70th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elpidio Jurdan in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dráusio Oliveira saved Izaltina FAD from getting behind. In the 92ndth minute of the game Elpidio Jurdan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Izaltina FAD's Dráusio Oliveira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Faustino Vermudo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Duda de Sousa in the 94th minute. The United.SF fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Izaltina FAD were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
