Faustino Vermudo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano de Moraes in the 29th minute of play. Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cícero Veiga in the 32nd minute. Faustino Vermudo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim de Queirós in the 35th minute of the match. After 36 minutes of play, Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s Joaquim de Queirós made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Faustino Vermudo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos Augusto Mazza in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Faustino Vermudo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 0-7 became the score in the 46th minute when Cristiano de Moraes elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar.

Marcus Soares succeeded in the game's 52nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-8. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristiano de Moraes in the 56th minute of play forced United.SF's goalkeeper Faustino Vermudo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the United.SF defense, Marcus Soares kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Faustino Vermudo. The United.SF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Faustino Vermudo should have stopped the shot. Faustino Vermudo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcus Soares in the 63rd minute. 65 minutes into the game, Elpidio Jurdan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. United.SF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- the free kick. Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristiano de Moraes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Faustino Vermudo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquim de Queirós, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Faustino Vermudo came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s Wágner Fox. But to his dismay, Wágner Fox quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-11. Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
