Montesacro FC's Fabiano Barillari played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diguinho Mendonça in the 21st minute of play. In the 24th minute Frank Scarcella shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dráusio Oliveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Izaltina FAD getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Rui Moreira hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Duda de Sousa during the 32nd minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eraldo Tammaro was the one to do the kick off. Izaltina FAD's Dráusio Oliveira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Izaltina FAD from getting a goal against them. In the 66th minute of the match, Eraldo Tammaro got a very nice opportunity to score, but Dráusio Oliveira was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Dráusio Oliveira yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. If Duda de Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 95 minutes into the match, Izaltina FAD's goal looked a bit too open when Eraldo Tammaro came free, but Dráusio Oliveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Montesacro FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
