Izaltina FAD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- the free kick. When Betinho Dantas fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s protests and gave Betinho Dantas a yellow card for diving instead. Izaltina FAD's Leandro Alagoano was substituted for Cristóvão Paranaense. With a little luck, Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s Valdemar Quadros got control of the ball when Osmar Donato tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s Valdemar Quadros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s Tostão Pernambucano got a free kick in the 63rd minute. 69 minutes into the match, Izaltina FAD's goal looked a bit too open when Caio Barral came free, but Dráusio Oliveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Caio Barral took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Dráusio Oliveira to make any attempt to save it. After 75 minutes of play, Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s Marcus Soares made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dráusio Oliveira was left in no man's land by his defense there! 80 minutes into the match, Izaltina FAD's goalkeeper Dráusio Oliveira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Caio Barral. In the 86th minute Cristiano de Moraes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dráusio Oliveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cícero Veiga made a great header on Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s corner, it was just that Izaltina FAD's Dráusio Oliveira managed to reach the ball for a save. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
