When Rogelio Carceles fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fesport FC's protests and gave Rogelio Carceles a yellow card for diving instead. After 22 played minutes Fesport FC got a freekick which was hit by Rogelio Carceles. Abdul Rahman Al Youha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Diagur Infante made a huge save. Diagur Infante made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Hakem Al Attar sent off a good shot on target. 35 minutes had been played when some careless play by Fesport FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Edrees Al Najdi was slow to take the kick. During this time Golden Tigers's players had a chance to rest. The supporters of Golden Tigers booed when Fesport FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cipriano Vagrande didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mohammad Al Ateqi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Natxo Valerón went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. 45 minutes into the match, Natxo Valerón notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Golden Tigers's Mohammad Al Ateqi. Mohammad Al Ateqi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hakem Al Attar to strike the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Fesport FC's Jon Fonticoba slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mohammad Al Ateqi. That made the score 1-5 after 59 minutes of play. Diagur Infante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdul Rahman Al Youha in the 62nd minute of play. Hakem Al Attar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diagur Infante having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saif Abo Al Hasan in the 70th minute of play forced Fesport FC's goalkeeper Diagur Infante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Diagur Infante showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdul Rahman Al Youha, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. When Jon Fonticoba came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Fesport FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jon Fonticoba couldn't finish the play. In the 79th match minute, Fesport FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rogelio Carceles to maneuver through the defense. Fesport FC's Diagur Infante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saif Abo Al Hasan in the 82nd minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, Fesport FC's goal looked a bit too open when Abdul Rahman Al Youha came free, but Diagur Infante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Diagur Infante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hakem Khorshed in the 86th minute of the match.
