The crowd rose to their feet as Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Thomás do Valle slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Erik Kolman. That made the score 2-0 after 15 minutes of play. Karim Bado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Douwe Gentenaar, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Thomás do Valle got free with Erik Kolman in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Frederico França could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Erik Kolman made a huge save. When Luizinho Neves fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's protests and gave Luizinho Neves a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Sheep United booed when Rio Verde F.C CIMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luizinho Neves didn't get a good kick on the ball. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sheep United reached it. In the 43rd minute, Frederico França got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 44 minutes into the match, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Douwe Gentenaar came free, but Karim Bado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aad van Zonderen to make the kick off. After some careless play in the Sheep United defense, Lenílson Gomes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Erik Kolman. The Sheep United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Erik Kolman should have stopped the shot. In the 59th minute, Lenílson Gomes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erik Kolman was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. Erik Kolman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frederico França in the 66th minute of the match. The tension between the Rio Verde F.C CIMZ and the Sheep United players grew even worse after the yellow card. The Rio Verde F.C CIMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thomás do Valle in the 94th minute of play forced Sheep United's goalkeeper Erik Kolman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
