Edmondo Urbani was out of position in the 21 minute of play, and Alonzo Rocendo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alonzo Rocendo really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. Gerardo Pirmin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Fiume Veneto's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Wilfredo Berriotxoa 34 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 5-0. Edmondo Urbani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alonzo Rocendo, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. 38 minutes into the match, Fiume Veneto's goal looked a bit too open when Celestino Rudolfo came free, but Edmondo Urbani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40th minute Gerardo Pirmin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmondo Urbani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fiume Veneto's Edmondo Urbani proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Fiume Veneto from getting a goal against them. Feliciano Geleberto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Camillo Malatesta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emilio Esposito blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Feliciano Geleberto having to make a save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alfredo Santo was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rdth minute of the game Gerardo Pirmin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fiume Veneto's Edmondo Urbani was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 54 minutes, Alfredo Santo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fiume Veneto and the Atlético Nacional players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Fiume Veneto's Alfredo Santo got a free kick in the 54th minute. A collision led to Fiume Veneto getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Adriano Sciotto hit a great ball. Wilfredo Berriotxoa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Edmondo Urbani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Fiume Veneto defense, Gerardo Pirmin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edmondo Urbani. The Fiume Veneto fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edmondo Urbani should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Fiume Veneto booed when Atlético Nacional was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerardo Pirmin didn't get a good kick on the ball. 71 minutes into the match, Celestino Rudolfo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edmondo Urbani. Fiume Veneto's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Celestino Rudolfo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. In the 77th match minute, Fiume Veneto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adriano Sciotto to maneuver through the defense. Camillo Malatesta's late challenge caught a Atlético Nacional's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Camillo Malatesta helped the player get up and apologised. In the 80th minute, Camillo Malatesta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edmondo Urbani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilfredo Berriotxoa in the 82nd minute of the match. After 88 minutes of play, Atlético Nacional's Celestino Rudolfo made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edmondo Urbani was left in no man's land by his defense there! 92 minutes into the game, Tadeo Barea was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atlético Nacional's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fiume Veneto the free kick. After 92 played minutes Atlético Nacional got a freekick which was hit by Tadeo Barea. There was no doubt that Atlético Nacional were the better team. Atlético Nacional's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
