In the 4th minute Fernandinho Urbano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldemar Dulka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 7 minutes into the match, Corinthians's goal looked a bit too open when Radoslaw Pilsudski came free, but Romeu Souto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fernandinho Urbano took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Waldemar Dulka. Waldemar Dulka dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Víktor Sarmento took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Waldemar Dulka. In the 20th minute, Radoslaw Pilsudski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Waldemar Dulka took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmílson Matorin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Romeu Souto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waldemar Siwek in the 24th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernandinho Urbano in the 27th minute of play forced Pogoń Staszów's goalkeeper Waldemar Dulka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fernandinho Urbano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Waldemar Dulka tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernandinho Urbano in the 30th minute of play forced Pogoń Staszów's goalkeeper Waldemar Dulka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 31 minutes, Edmílson Matorin made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Pogoń Staszów's Waldemar Dulka tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Edmílson Matorin came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Corinthians fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmílson Matorin couldn't finish the play. In the 35th minute, Víktor Sarmento got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pogoń Staszów's defense didn't have a chance, in the 38th minute, when Víktor Sarmento scored to the left of an out of position Waldemar Dulka, making the score, 5-0. In the 42nd minute Radoslaw Pilsudski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romeu Souto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Waldemar Dulka showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmílson Matorin in the 44th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fernandinho Urbano was the one to do the kick off. Waldemar Dulka took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmílson Matorin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55th minute, Víktor Sarmento made a precise shot to the right of Waldemar Dulka. Pogoń Staszów's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. Waldemar Dulka showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernandinho Urbano in the 59th minute of the match. Corinthians's Fernandinho Urbano got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Waldemar Dulka came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Corinthians's Edmílson Matorin. But to his dismay, Edmílson Matorin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. With a little luck, Corinthians's Romeu Souto got control of the ball when Waldemar Siwek tried to sneak it across the goal line. Acácio Ramos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Waldemar Dulka tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Corinthians booed when Pogoń Staszów was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Radoslaw Dobrzechowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fernandinho Urbano took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Waldemar Dulka. Waldemar Dulka dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-1. After a defensive mix-up in Pogoń Staszów's zone, Fernandinho Urbano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Waldemar Dulka came out of the goal and Fernandinho Urbano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fernandinho Urbano scored 9-1 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Waldemar Dulka, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Romeu Souto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Radoslaw Pilsudski in the 97th minute of play. In the 98th minute, Edmílson Matorin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. There was no doubt that Corinthians were the better team. Corinthians's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
