Bengt-Åke Asserlind showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arvin Stålman in the 21st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Norrlands Athen's Rickard Andreasson got a free kick in the 21st minute. 22 minutes into the match, Norrlands Athen's goal looked a bit too open when Arvin Stålman came free, but Bengt-Åke Asserlind reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Osvald Wester kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bengt-Åke Asserlind. That made the score 4-0 in the 24 minute of play. Bengt-Åke Asserlind was out of position in the 26 minute of play, and Arvin Stålman capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Norrlands Athen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oliver Albohm was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Svante Borre charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Svante Borre the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to BK Ugglan getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Svante Borre hit a great ball. 34 minutes into the match, Alexander Mattsson notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Norrlands Athen's Bengt-Åke Asserlind. Bengt-Åke Asserlind was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 37 minutes into the game, BK Ugglan's Arvin Stålman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bengt-Åke Asserlind made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. Norrlands Athen's Bengt-Åke Asserlind proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Norrlands Athen from getting a goal against them. Bengt-Åke Asserlind made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oliver Albohm in the 42nd minute of play. 42 minutes into the game, Vincent Molin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Norrlands Athen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BK Ugglan the free kick. Vincent Molin hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Arvin Stålman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bengt-Åke Asserlind having to make a save. Norrlands Athen's Bengt-Åke Asserlind played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arvin Stålman in the 45th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Norrlands Athen's zone, Alexander Mattsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bengt-Åke Asserlind came out of the goal and Alexander Mattsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 8-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arvin Stålman to make the kick off.
